Having been active in the animal industry for over 35
years, I have been the proud owner of Hartland
Acres Quarter Horses and Labrador Retrievers.

This business kept me busy with horse breeding,
training and showing of our quarter horses and
especially our buckskin stallion Champion "Bucksational" and his foals. I also enjoyed dog obedience training and showing our Labrador Retrievers.

Our feed store, "Hartland Acres Feed & Supply", taught me much about the need for proper care and nutrition of all domestic and farm animals. Plus, I raised pigs, goats, rabbits, geese, ducks, and chickens to sell in the store.

Now retired from all of that, I use this experience to help others have 'Peace of Mind' knowing that when they need to be away, their pets are being cared for by a professional, skilled, and caring pet care specialist.

She, herself, currently has only one pet, a Betta Fish named Gamma Julius TriBetta, who doesn't mind sharing her attention with other animals. She looks forward to meeting your pet and is pleased to annouce her recent completion of Pet CPR & First Aid training.

Jan Minkler: One of my favorite pass-times is relaxing at home with one, two or all three of my cats on my lap, and I can’t forget to mention holding “Miss Lucy,” my gerbil. I grew up with every animal and reptile imaginable. In my twenties I was fortunate enough to work for a small animal veterinarian for almost two years. I love it, and learned a lot. Just recently I completed a course in First Aid and CPR under the instruction of Laura Harter, my employer. I am Jan Minkler and I have the good fortune to work for “Peace of Mind Home and Pet Care.”
